"Sooo.." said The (Not So) Small One. "I know you've been working on some stuff you aren't ready to blog about just yet, and I know you had a really busy weekend. Does that mean you are a bit - stuck?"
"Well," I said "If I had managed to make a start on your fox hat I could have written about that. Or if I had finally finished off the neckband on your Dad's sweater, I could have taken a picture of that. But I haven't. So I can't. BUT that does give me a great chance to show a couple of Scrap365 layouts
For an article on an alternative viewpoint. I journaled a dream house. The text is under the two flaps. This layout was used to create last month's Sketchbook365 challenge. |
which is also a good way of telling everyone to look out for the next issue..
For the series PDQ Pages about layouts you can make in under an hour |
..and of asking anyone not in the UK - where have you seen Scrap365? Where can you get hold of it? I'm intrigued..
ps..It's lovely to see that the swaps are starting to arrive already. Thanks, everyone!
Seems like everyone is busy - I've been relaxing with my current copy of Scrap 365!
ReplyDeleteThe layouts are so calming which I so appreciate these days! I can't wait to see the fox hat!!!
ReplyDeleteGot my swap :) jist need to send
ReplyDeleteLooks like I need to pop to W.H.Smith tomorrow!!
ReplyDeleteNo Scrap 365 over here in the states from what I can tell. I made a bunch of cards last night which remind me a bit of your style. I'll be posting them on Thursday.
ReplyDeleteRinda
Someone emailed me that it was available in Barnes and Noble, so that was what intrigued me
ReplyDeleteHmm Next time I'm at Chapters I am going to see if we have it. I know they carry cross stitch magazines from the UK. Your LO's are lovely. It would be hard to scrap one in under an hour. You did terrific. I love your take on the sketch! Beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteI got my sub copy on Saturday so had seen these - they are
ReplyDeletelovely :-)
I picked up a copy just last week, and only because you're in it! Am I allowed to say that I'm not really a huge fan? Probably something to do with the articles that aren't about "proper" scrapbooking!
ReplyDeleteI tried to get the next issue when I was in the UK at the weekend..only to discover it's not out until May 17th :(
ReplyDeleteAlison xx
That's a lovely layout Sian.
ReplyDeleteI have the blue background paper in a new pad and have been using it today - love it!!
Yes, and my 365 arrived Saturday and I am enjoying it as ever.
My swap went in the mail this morning. The pile of photos on my desk waiting for a layout will be waiting for me when I get home. Last minute prep always takes longer than I think.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful layouts Sian. I love your style. I need to get my swap in the post! It is all ready to go I just haven't been to the post office yet!
ReplyDeleteLoving that second one especially - could do with doing everything PDQ at the moment! Actually, I would love to know where IN the UK people find scrap 365 as it is most elusive ...
ReplyDeleteAlexa i have always found mine at WHSmiths! I have also sent off my parcel & my recipient seems to be pleased with what I sent her - just waiting to see what comes in the post for me ;-)
ReplyDeleteSwap sent and swap received - photos taken - blog post and possible layout pending. Thanks for organizing it Sian - it was really big fun for such a little thing. Great pages here and I'm loving that little bird on your second layout, especially. I have a few back issues of Scrap 365 that I originally found on amazon.com, and then I found Traplet's US online site, so I ordered a couple more when they went on sale. Terribly behind as they are 2012 and I haven't finished them as yet.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful layouts Sian!!! I used your sketch to create a LO on on my blog. I was inspired by the triangle. I'm in Newfoundland,Canada and I can get Scrap365 mag at my local Chapters.
ReplyDeleteLori S.
I've not seen Scrap 365 down here either - though, that's only one small area and I'm not out searching newsagents for scrap mags like I used to in the 'olden days'!
ReplyDeleteLovely pages Sian, I haven't seen it for a while here either. I will have a look next time I am in town :)
ReplyDeleteI had to order it in at WH Smiths specially, took my copies over to the US to share with scrapping buddies.
ReplyDeleteNot buying any crafty mags at the moment. Maybe once I've moved...
I created a layout inspired by this PDQ layout on retreat last month (didn't realise it was yours until I'd nearly finished)
ReplyDeleteI get scrap365 at my local newsagent, it's readily available in Australia.
Really nice looking layouts Sian. I haven't seen it here but then I really haven't been looking for scrapping mags lately. I'll have to check out our Chapters when I'm out. Finishing up my package today and should have it off in the mail tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThat swan layout is just beautiful - a classic! I love the colours. I posted my swap today and I am very excited by it all! Thanks for organising it.
ReplyDeleteI have seen the mag in WHS. I have finished my swap parcel, just need to take some photo's and post it...
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen it here in the States, but I haven't tried Canada yet, that is just a small drive away. ;-) Love your newest layout! Super cool!
ReplyDeletethese layouts are so fun to look at - my eye goes round in delight and finally settles on the cat / the swans. :-) a circular, visual kind of magic.
ReplyDeleteNot only have you shared what you've already done, you've given us a hint at what we might see soon. Terrific LOs--isn't it fun to daydream about a "someday" home??
ReplyDeleteBeautiful layouts as usual :)
ReplyDeleteI always flick through first to see if I can guess which one is your layout in the magazine :)
ReplyDeleteI've picked up a few Scrap365 issues here - at Barnes & Noble bookstore (& a local bookstore that has since closed).
ReplyDeleteSince you asked so nicely, I'm in California at the moment and our local bookstore carries it. I do have to run to even get a peak at it as it sells out within a day.
ReplyDeleteI love both pages and the feathers on the second page win my heart :) and to answer your question, I have never seen the Scrap365 mag anywhere here in the US...
