Me On Monday

It was a rugby weekend. There's no other way to put it. A really? already? The Six Nations Competition starts today weekend. A put our feet up in front of the television weekend. A trip to the Sports Shop to look for birthday presents weekend.

An are you sure you're serious about Girls' Rugby? weekend. Also, then, an if you suggest  wearing my brother's old boots one more time, I'm going on strike weekend. Which of course means a back to the sports shop day next weekend.

And today? On Monday? I'm pulling out an old photo and remembering what rugby weekends once looked like here, almost twenty years ago to the day, when I came downstairs after a nap and discovered my tiny new baby wrapped in a very large shirt. Wouldn't even look at him now, of course. But you knew that.

Have a good week!

Last Monday Helena, Miriam, Abi, Ruth, Liz, Alison, Karen, Deb, Sandra and Ladkyis all gave us a wave. Go on, give 'em a wave back..

  1. Six Nations ... bring it on!
Adorable photo of TTO, which means that J is forgiven for getting a wee bit carried away in his patriotism!

  9. Beautiful, Sian......love the reminiscence with the photo (and what a resourceful Dad: I assume he was so glued to the rugby, he couldn't get up and find a baby blanket??!! That's a true rugby fan for you! - my Dad was the same - nothing would move him when the rugby was on!)

  10. good picture! would it be useful for blackmail with girlfriends though?

Mr M and youngest son watched the rugby. Wales lost so there was a post mortem and much muttering. Youngest son being back home with his momma because the not even a year old marriage has fallen apart......... haven't asked for details

  18. I have to admit I've never seen a rugby match, and I know next to nothing about it. I do know, though, that that is one adorable baby photo!

  19. I prefer rugby to football, if I have to watch anything. I had a friend who played woman's rugby at uni and traveled all over the world playing.

  27. You may not be amazed to discover I wasn't even aware of the rugby.

But a close friend has similar photos of her small baby in All Black suits. They went to all the matches with him... he was very well travelled before his first birthday!
