The postcard swap might be over (for now!) but, as a nice coincidence, I have a new card story for you today. It goes like this:
Back in July, while we were on holiday, I opened my email to discover a new message with the intriguing title "Your Photo Fiskhuset". Sounds interesting, I thought. And it was. It was a truly engaging note from a lovely lady called Alice who was writing to ask if I would be interested in allowing her to use one of my photos in a card she was designing.
Alice makes the most beautiful little fabric sculptures - the animals you see here are only about three inches tall - tiny and detailed and lovely. Then she photographs them carefully and creates cards.
I was more than happy to say yes! and thank you! to a talented artist who reached out from across the ocean to ask. Not only that, but she also rushed me a big package of cards which are now proudly displayed High In The Sky.
Isn't the internet just the most amazing thing? You take a picture, someone spots it, you connect. I still marvel at it. Alice's Animals are here. I'm looking forward to seeing what she makes next.

I love everything about this story. Just lovely; and not at all surprising that it would happen to *you*! xx
