Perfect! I love things like that. It's trying to find where to put it that's become a problem. I recently saw an old set of drawers I would have loved to have, but couldn't think of anywhere in my studio they could go.
I love that phrase 'lovingly salvaged'. My mum would call it junk but I call it an opportunity. I can see why you wanted to save it. It's marvellous. Can't wait to see what you do with it Sian.
Oh I love it! Lovingly salvaged, exactly what I said when I rescued a pretty carton perfect for a texture on my Gelli prints today. Now if the wind had changed his eyes would have stayed that way!!
I have a nowhere as nice old first aid box, mine stored chocolate and such for years. The kids knew they weren't allowed in first aid boxes after all ;)

ReplyDeleteThey obviously don't see the potential that we would in a magnificent find like that one.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! I'm looking forward to hearing what you're going to do with it. Keep it for first aid supplies or something to do with crafts?
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, Debbie Stember - thank you very much :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like my cabinet. The inside has painted shelves, but I haven't decided what to put on them yet
That's very cool Sian. Re-purposed can often be the best stuff - it has history and character.
ReplyDeleteI love things that have a history, I'm sure you will make good use of this cabinet.

ReplyDeleteI'm just not starting to add things in my studio. But being very selective. What a great find.
ReplyDeleteRinda
Ha ha, that could have so easily have been said in my house about me :)
ReplyDeleteSo now you are snatching fixtures out of libraries -- what's wrong with you? Only the books are meant to be borrowed!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing what this chest becomes in its new life at Sian's house...
