East, West..

We're back in the country. I'm back on the computer. And it feels great! A complete break has been wonderful and now I'm crazy for a bit of cutting and sticking.

But first? First I have to thank all of my amazing guests for the fine job they have done while I've been away. I hope you enjoyed Sailing Away as much as I did! It was a lot of fun to put together - I'd love to do it again sometime. I've even jotted down a few ideas for a new theme..

...but no, that will have to wait. For now - thank you! talented, clever guest posters and everyone who left them a little love. Much appreciated all round.

I've been enjoying fitting in some catch up commenting myself - a treat in between holiday laundry loads - and I have a way to go yet. I won't be rushed! I want to know it all, everything I've missed. Of course, first I ventured deep into storytelling territory to feast on this month's selection. Storytelling Sunday now seems to have a life of its own! You don't need me, you did it without me! Wow...

Been spotting lots of Scavenger Hunt entries already; and before I finish up for today (back to the washing basket) I have a few of my own to share:

Roadside Stand - We spent a day in Copenhagen and after taking lots of pictures of the Little Mermaid, I spotted this on the way back to the bus.

Border - In the background here, in a photo taken from the ship. It's the Oresund Bridge which links Denmark and Sweden and featured recently in the BBC series called - The Bridge.

Pier - In Sweden. On our way back to the ship, which appears in the background, I spotted this pier and I loved the yellow huts. I had to take my picture through the bus window - i would have loved a closer look.

Maze - I have The Tall One to thank for this one. You probably guessed that. In Sweden at Sofiero Palace, we spotted the maze and the only way to take a picture was to find someone with very long arms..

Fountain - In Copenhagen again.

So, that's me for today. I have more photos, more stories for the next time. It's good to be home.

  3. Welcome home! I'm starstruck ... by a bridge! Loved that programme.

James keeps telling where he's spotted various things on the scavenger hunt list - and I keep telling him it doesn't especially count if I don't see the thing and take the photo myself! He ought to do his own!

    Good to 'see' you. x

  9. What great scavenger photos! I wish our sun in the US would go away for a bit. It's so hot and humid here and the sun certainly does not help.

  34. Welcome back Sian, hope you had a fabby time! I'm just catching up myself after a long bloggy break! Looks like you went on a similar cruise to one we went on several years ago (you seem to have had much better weather though!). We are also off to the Norwegian Fjords too soon, another one I think you went on! At this rate we might end up on the same ship, how fun!! GOod luck with the laundry and look forward to seeing some LO's soon! Have a great week, Sue x

It was a good Sail, while you were away. I haven't had a lot of time to follow all the posts, but the ones I managed to get to, were very good.

I hope you had a wonderful time - glad you feel rested. Pity the weather wasn't better - I am sure you were chilly at times!

I am also itching to do some scrapbooking, but simply haven't got time. It will have to wait...

    Have a good week!
