So Little E called the other morning, just as everything was getting away from me. Again. I told him about my week.
"Uncle Dave says I'm having an existential crisis and I probably need to read some Sartre," I said.
"Oh," Little E replied. "I think you need to get out your hoover and clean up your crumbs."

With thanks to Alison for the brad which she very kindly sent as part of a care package earlier in the year |
Maybe they're both right. But I think I'll start with the crumbs. Then I can get the biscuits out again.."

Wise little man!!! Great story to record with a page very nicely designed!!!
ReplyDeleteAlmost makes me wish I had a three year old to converse with. Hopefully my problems would be solved that simply too! Great page Sian!
ReplyDeleteOh to see things through the eyes of a child and yes, they are always right. As adults we do seem to complicate things. He is such a little sweetie and it is great that you are documenting these fun memories of his youth. Love this LO too! Lots of goodness to look at! :)
ReplyDeleteThat boy should go into politics. Hoovering up crumbs would solve the nation's problems! Great story.
ReplyDeleteI really DO miss having small children in my life..they have such a way of putting things in perspective! Love the LO
ReplyDeleteAlison xx
I must admit that - from time to time - I find a certain Zen in housework. But those moments are few and far between!
ReplyDeleteI shall await 'The Little Book of Little E' with baited breath. x

ReplyDeleteHe has an old head on young shoulders! I hope that your house is suitable crumbless now!
ReplyDeleteAwww the little ones say the funniest things!
ReplyDeleteSuch a wise man for his age:) Now hoovering up your problems....I could do with that. When are you going to market it Sian?
ReplyDeleteGreat layout and great sentiment from Little E!
ReplyDeleteFantastic page and I think Little E has it just right we do drop crumbs of our life all over the place
ReplyDeleteLove his practical wisdom! And biscuits win over Sartre any day. Unless you munch and read at the same time, and unless it gives you nausea. :) Such a super page - I'm zooming in and out like anything to enjoy all the bits.
ReplyDeleteCute page for a sweet story. But Sarte or housework, I don't know what to say about that!!

The Young Ones just get straight to the point, no mucking around and tell us how it is! Good luck for this week!
ReplyDeleteHope the crumbs are gone for this week Sian :) The plundered page is a nice addition to the layout.
ReplyDeleteok - I just came back to look at something and noticed that tag. Is that still from your slice?? Or did you purchase something else? (reference to the "you") :)
ReplyDeleteOh my - such wisdom! I definitely need to clean out my crumbs. I'm feeling so scattered these days (creatively and otherwise). Love the little boy with the flag!

ReplyDeleteThank you for the link Sian - I hadn't even noticed that page until you said! Which I've decided to take as a good thing ... proving that you can really use the papers without them screaming out at you.

ReplyDeleteLittle E is just too cute for words! Love the page, Sian, some lovely touches.
ReplyDeleteDo love three year olds, had one (now 4) who when just three would visit and say slyly, 'Hoooover?'in a hopeful tone. There are lots of fun things when you are three.
