Get Ahead With A Shed

This morning The Accountant went off to work whistling cheerfully; happy in the knowledge that the monster spreadsheet he recently created will be ready and waiting for another day of hot accountancy action. That kind of exertion can tire a bloke, though. And, when he comes home, he likes nothing better than a bit of shed pottering. He's always been a bit of a shed man. He was born to it. His own father was a lean-to genius. A couple of sheets of tin and some string was all he needed. Shed nirvana. My own father was more of a greenhouse man; and I'm sorry that I never got to see The Accountant and The Schoolteacher sitting in some greenhouse/shed combo of their own construction, bonding over a mutual love of Hornby and homebrew.
We had to leave our last shed behind when we moved. I had bought it as a Christmas present and I waited in for an entire day to see it installed. Eventually the bell rang. I rushed to the door and flung it open. "Have you brought me a shed?" I said, brightly. "No, but I could probably get you one," said a nice man, just as brightly, as he offered me his Help The Aged tin.
So, we moved. We got a new shed, a new Farrow and Ball paint card, and we started again. This time last year I made this page for a scraplift challenge over at Noel's challenge blog. (The original was by the very talented Anne-Marie Teo). It shows that our gardening started out small. Next year we hope to expand: and I have a page about that too. But I'm saving it for Saturday when I hope you will join me for Rinda's Creative Circle Blog Party. We're starting early. 9.00am sharp. Hope you can make it.

Today I'm Loving...Listening to remixed Beatles albums while I work. I've found my all-time favourite cover version. Ringo sings! And because I always think Ringo looks like the kind of man who would appreciate a good shed when he saw one, I'm giving you this . I hope you like it. Don't forget Saturday, now!

What a beautiful layout--love the colors and the embellishments. I always admire this kind of layering but never seem to be able to pull it off myself. Lovely!
